Robert Allen Morgan, age 80, of Sundown died Monday, October 13, 2014. Robert was born in Erick Oklahoma on April 24, 1934 to French Morgan and Rebecca Mae Bassett Morgan.
Robert married Anita "Joann" Fisher, on June 2, 1955. Together they had two daughters and raised a nephew.
Robert was in the Army National Guard for 10 years and upon his retirement he was a field technician with NTS Communications in Levelland.
Preceding Robert in death are his parents, and 5 brothers, Don, Billy, Eddie, J B, and Earl.
Robert is survived by his wife, Joann of Sundown; daughters, Anita Diann and George Brister of Mansfield TX, Angela Gail and Russell Vest of Levelland; nephew, Mike and Rebecca Fisher of Howe OK. Grandkids David and Hiekii Brister, Daniel Brister of Mansfield TX, Addie and Patrick Bell of Cuero TX, Quintin and Alisha Vest of Lubbock, and Kelsie Vest of Levelland, Michael Allen, Erika, and Brandon Fisher, Hank, Hunter, and Hannah Miller of Howe OK; Robert is also survived by six great-grandchildren, Levi Brister, Ethan Sanders, and Shelby Brister of Mansfield TX, Jaden Bellar and Cooper Vest of Lubbock, and Emmalyn Bell of Cuero TX. Also surviving Robert are brother and sister laws, Oscar and Sandy Fisher, Bill and Joyce Drewry, Herman and Pat Fisher, Ronnie and Young Fisher, Gary and Rosie Fisher, and Bob and Virginia Fisher, along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the George Price Funeral Home in Levelland TX. Celebration of life services will be Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Levelland at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at the Sundown cemetery.
