Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Emmie (Maggie) Douglas, 79, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Davis Street Baptist Church with the Rev. James Edgeand the Rev. Jimmy Albright officiating. Burial will be in the Greenview Cemetery with nephews and grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Douglas died Friday afternoon in Memorial Hospital.
A resident of Hopkins County for the past 60 years, she was born Feb. 10, 1892 in Tennessee, the daughter of Joel and Betty Myatt Estes.
She married Robert L. Douglas Feb. 26, 1964 in Sulphur Springs.
Survivors include her husband, three sons, Williams Richard Watts of Ft. Worth, J.P. Watts of Virginia and Wylie Paul Watts of Idaho; two daughters, Mrs. Lois Moore and Mrs. Laverle Dews of Florida; two brothers, Brady Estes of Ft. Worth and Martin Estes of Greenville; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; seven step-sons, G.W. Hatten of Ft. Worth, Morris Hatten of Louisiana, Travis Lee Hatten of Greenville, Robert L. Douglas, Jr. of Dallas, Raymond Reynolds of Sulphur Springs, Robert Reynolds of Royse City, and Bill Reynolds of Greenville;and five step-daughters, Mrs. Doris Jean Payne of Dallas, Mrs. Georgis Turner of California, Mrs. Pauline Dosset of Houston, Mrs. Dorothy Barnes of Lake Tawakoni and Mrs. Pauline Barnes of Dallas.
