Opal Crouch, 68, Eldon, died Sunday at Capital Region Medical Center-Still Campus. She was born May 12, 1926, in Miller County, the daughter of James W. and Emma Frances Rush. She was married June 16, 1943, in Eugene, to James M. Crouch, who died April 2, 1968.

She was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Miller County. She was a
former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Eldon VFW Post 2442 and a
member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include: four sons, Harold Crouch, Tuscumbia, John Crouch, Larry Crouch and Kenneth Crouch, all of Olean; six daughters, Roberta Thorson, Republic, Patricia Duncan, High Point, Patsy Buchanan, Bloomington, Ill., Becky Bertz, Lexington, Dianna Fitzpatrick, Olean, and Darlene Crouch, Columbia; four sisters, Elizabeth Bittle, Eldon,
Arcinia Phillips, Kansas City, Goldie Wood, Marion, Kan., and Louise Jeffries, Camdenton; 29 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Jay Quinn will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Eldon. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today. Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
