Eli L. Low was my great-grandmother's brother, the son of Jackson Green Low and Susan A Hudleston Low. He was found shot to death along with William Christopher "Kit" Smith in the Sabine River bottom, in what became the beginning of the famous 1883-1886 Smith-Lowe-Conner Feud of Sabine County, Texas.
