Mildred Pauline Jones, Bass, Dehoney, was born on July 15, 1905 to Jenny and Hugh Jones of Lee's Summit, Mo. She lived in the area her whole life, living in Lee's Summit, LaMonte, Raytown, and Holden. She was a 3rd grade teacher in Lone Jack Missouri. She was married to Ira Floyd Bass, had one child Joseph Hugh Bass. She lost Ira in 1956. She later remarried in 1963 to Vernon Dehoney. He passed in 1968. Her last name when she passed was Dehoney, but I put it in as Bass since she didn't have children with Vernon and was widowed from Ira. She was very funny and always made me laugh. I remember going to her house and she always had coffee candies in her candy dish. She would make my dad a chocolate pie for the holidays and she would always make me a lemon pie because she knew it was my favorite. I am named after her middle name, and she would say that I was her namesake. She always went by the name Pauline. We never called her Grandmother, we called her GoGo, and she was always on the go, lol. She made sure we would get something nice on our birthdays. She was the only grandparent I knew, all the other's had already passed on. Thank you for loving me unconditionally. I miss her and I wish I had one more day with her, but I know I will see her in Heaven. She was always used shower to shower and when I smell it I think of her.:-) I miss your laugh and the fun we had together, teaching me how to make French toast, which I have shared with my babies.
