JOSEPH DONEGAN

Joseph "Joe' Donegan, 84, of 215 Custer St., St. Albans, died May 7, 1988, in St. Francis Hospital after a long illness.

A lifelong resident of St. Albans, he was a retired district serviceman for Appalachian Power Co. with 44 years' service.

He was. a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of St. Albans.

Surviving: wife, Ethel Moore Donegan; son, Joseph Jr. of California; daughters, Nell Jean Sibley of Nitro, Lenace Wright of Hurricane, Carroll Bohn of South Carolina, Bonnie Walker of Kentucky, Betty Armstrong of South Charleston; stepsons, Willard "Bill" Thacker of Sissonville and Clark Thacker of Renick; stepdaughter, Loretta Craddock of St. Albans; sister, Hannah Stamm of St. Albans; 35 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick McDonough and Minister Gene White officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Casdorph-Curry Funeral Home, St. Albans, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
