Garnet M. Tardivo Wofford Furman, 74, of Fenelton, formerly of Kiskimere, Parks, died at 8:07 a.m. Thursday (Jan. 31, 2002) in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison.

Born June 16, 1927, in Parks, she lived in Bethel before moving back to Parks 20 years ago. For the past year, she was a resident of Pine Haven Personal Care Home in Fenelton.

She worked at Papercraft, Blawnox, for about 10 years.

Mrs. Furman enjoyed animals and watching television.

Survivors include six sons, Benjamin Wofford Jr. of Saltsburg, Wayne W. Wofford of Parks, Gerald C. (Vicki) Wofford and Larry R. Wofford, both of Bethel, Douglas K. Wofford of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Gregory T. Wofford of West Leechburg; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Oliver Tardivo of Apollo and Charles Tardivo of Cokesburg.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Benjamin Wofford, in 1976; her second husband, William Furman, in 1987; her parents, Julius and Charlotte Varner Tardivo; a brother, Valentine Tardivo; and a sister, Eva J. Coleman, in 1999.

Friends will be welcomed by her family from 7 to 9 tonight at CLAWSON'S, Second at Main, Leechburg, where funeral ceremonies will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday. Officiating will be the Rev. Edward Sheehan. Burial will be in Vandergrift Cemetery, Allegheny Township.
