Mrs. Louis W. Pingel, 71 Le Mars, died Wednesday at Floyd Valley hospital after a brief illness. She had been hospitalized since March 5.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Grace Lutheran church with Rev. Lothar Braeunig officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens under direction of the Mauer funeral home.
The former Alice Anna Christina Furst, she was born March 7, 1900 in Washington county at Blair, Neb., a daughter of the late John and Maria (Tholen) Furst. She married Mr. Pingel, July 30, 1919, at Omaha, Neb. Mrs. Pingel lived at Blair and Omaha, Neb., moving to Marcus after her marriage. They resided there for 30 years and then moved to Sioux City for 12 years retiring to Le Mars in 1961. She was a member of Grace Lutheran church and ladies organizations of the church.
