FITCHBURG — Stephanie M. Abitante, age 74, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, August 27, 1998 after a long illness. She was born on January 25, 1924 to Natale and Mary (Cerniglia) Stellone. Stephanie met, and later married, John A. Abitante on June 5, 1943. After graduating from Central High School in 1942, she was employed with the Oscar Mayer Company for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Natale and Mary Stellone; her husband, of 55 years, John Anthony; her son, Nicholas Anthony in 1989; and four uncles, Ross, Don, Charles, and George Cerniglia.
Burial in Resurrection Cemetery.
