ASTORIA - Ralph R. Beadles, 78, of 219 N. Pine died at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 1998, at his home.
Born June 16, 1919, in Lewistown to John R. and Mary Coney Beadles, he married Frances G. Skiles on April 8, 1941, in Palmyra, Mo. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Janet) Danner of Astoria; one son, James of Odessa, Texas; five grandchildren; one stepgranddaughter; one great-grandchild; one brother, Fred of Minnesota; and one sister, Cora Bordner of East Peoria.
He was preceded in death by one brother, one sister and three half sisters.
He worked for the Fulton County Highway Department, retiring in 1984. He was a member of Boilermakers Local 108 and a 50-year member of Carpenters Local 183, both in Peoria.
A World War II Navy veteran, he was a member of Astoria American Legion Post 25. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, where visitation will be one hour before services. The Rev. Cliff Parry will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Foundation or the McDonough Hospital Hospice.
