Eddie Erastus was a farmer as well as a minister. He was licensed and ordained in 1910 and preached his first sermon at Central Baptist Church in Argo, Alabama. He was the pastor there for the years of 1918, 1919, and 1920. He was also pastor at Oak Grove, New Lebanon, Mount Olive, Pine Grove, and the First Baptist Church of Trussville.
