Enlisting at the age of 21 on August 19, 1942, Arvil H McQueen was a private in the Branch Immaterial or General Officers branch of the Selectees during World War II. At the time of enlistment, he was married, stood 67 inches tall, weighed 131 pounds, and had an education level of grammar school.

Arvil McQueen
Arvil McQueen, 60, of 301 Webb died Sunday in a local hospital. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Connally Compton Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, the Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. Burial will be in Waco Memorial Park.
Mr. McQueen was born in Heavner, Okla., on March 4, 1921. He moved to Waco in 1965. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired from the Air Force as a technical sergeant.
Mr. McQueen was a Protestant and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He had also worked at Texas State Technical Institute.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen McQueen; his father, A. B. McQueen of Shafter, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Kayleen Morley and Mrs. Janene Green, both of Waco, and Mrs. Darlene Bridgewater of McGregor; a son, Bruce McQueen of Waco; two stepsons, Larry Walpole of Waco and Max Pittman of Granbury; and a brother, Billy McQueen of Shafter, Calif.
