Hugh Abell, 70, of 807 Greensburg Street, Columbia, died Monday, Nov. 11, at his home.
He was a son of the late Hugh L. and Edna Raley Abell, a member of Good Shepherd Church, a Columbia businessman and a Veteran of World War II, having served in the Navy.
Abell is survived by his wife. Mabel Peyton Abell of Columbia, one son, Judge Edwin Abell of Campbellsville; one brother Harold Abell of Lebanon, two sisters, Susan Ryan of Lebanon and Martha Tucker of Campbellsville; two grandchildren, Alyson and Shaun Abell.
Funeral was Wednesda, Nov. 13, at 10 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father David Stoltz officiating. Burial was i n the Memorial Gardens in Campbellsville. Grissom Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
Pallbearers were: John D. Lowe, Joe Taylor, Jr., Paul Jones, John Humpkey, Dr. J. C. Salato and Joe Glowacki.
