Linwood ''Ice Man'' Anderson Sr., 94, of the 1000 block of Florida Ave., a retired merchant, died Sept. 13, 1992, in a hospital. Mr. Anderson was born in Portsmouth. He was a member of Mount Hermon Baptist Temple, Doric Lodge of Masons 98, Mount Hermon Senior Citizens and Mount Hermon Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star 19. He was the widower of Lovie Anderson. Survivors include three daughters, Ruth H. Scott of Norfolk, Thelma R. Fergerson of S. Ozone Park, N.Y., and Carleen Anderson of New York; four sons, James A. Anderson, Darnell Anderson, Linwood Anderson Jr. and Milford L. Anderson; and a sister, Mildred Tanner, all of Portsmouth; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Mount Hermon Baptist Temple by the Rev. I.S. Waters. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Friends may join the family at the residence. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m.
