Abigail Delaine “Dee” Smotherman, age 81, died October 10, 2014 at her residence in Turpin, OK. She was born June 2, 1933, in Gray, OK, the daughter of Edward Phillip and Abigail (Sweigart) Fuller. She graduated from Beaver High School in 1950. She attended Business College in Salina, KS. She also resided in Cherokee City, AR, Wichita, KS, Seattle, WA, Santa Maria, CA and Huntsville, AL.

On February 20, 1954, she married Homer Lee Smotherman at Wichita, KS. He died October 14, 1999.

She worked as a secretary for Boeing Aircraft Company and Kim’s for Kids as a retail manager, prior to retiring.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Liberal, KS

Survivors include 1 Daughter Dee Ann Cokeley Grand Junction, CO

1 Brother John William Fuller Cushing, OK

3 Sisters Clora Means Balko, OK Clara Cowan Sedan, NM Natalie Phelps Colorado Springs, CO 1 Granddaughter Stephanie Livingston, 3 Great Grandchildren Luke Livingston, Emily Livingston and Jaxon Livingston. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 Brother Edward Phillip Fuller, Jr. and 1 Grandson Matthew Livingston.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 13, 2014, at the Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta, KS.

Visitation will be 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm Saturday and 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm Sunday at Brenneman Funeral Home.
