August K. Diederich, 67, of 4113 Winter St., was dead on arrival at 9:25 a.m. yesterday at Lutheran Hospital.
Born in Germany, he had lived in Fort Wayne 43 years. Mr. Diederich retired from the Rea Magnet Wire Co. in 1966 after 30 years of service. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife Edith; two sons, Ronald L. and Phillip A., Fort Wayne; a daughter, Mrs. Linda Buhlman, Fort Wayne; two brothers, Carl, Garrett, and Walter, Deshler, Ohio; and a sister, Mrs. Nevin Good, Ashley.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Chalfant-Perry-Klaehn Funeral Home, the Rev. Loren J. Shiley officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Preferred memorials are gifts to the Zion Sacrifice Fund.
