Dr DeMoss Is Dead
Mr. W. D. Bostwick received word from Neodesha this morning that Dr DeMoss was dead and that the remains would be brought to Iola for burial.

Nearly every body who lived in Iola in childhood days knows and loves old Dr DeMoss, and the sad news of his death caused many a heavy heart. He has lived in and near Iola for many, many years and was a kind hearted Christian man.

He moved to Neodesha a few years ago and has been ill a good deal lately which has caused a derangement of his brain and he has been almost helpless for some time, hence his having gone to rest will relieve the long suffering both of himself and that of his attendants. In speaking of his death Judge Potter said: "Eighteen or nineteen years ago when I first came to this county you could see the old white horse that the doctor drove going all over this country, pulling the old gentleman around on his visits to his patients. He was THE doctor in those days."

Dr DeMoss was past 80 years of age and was a Mason of high rank, having been a member of the Iola Lodge for over twenty-five years.

He was the father of Mrs D W Bostwick and Mrs John Anderson, both of Iola.

The remains will be brought to this city tomorrow for burial in the family lot.
