He was born July 28, 1930, in Portsmouth, Ohio the son of the late Menard Leroy Steiner and Mary Ellen (Meadows) Steiner. On May 14, 1979. Eugene was united in marriage to Hazel (Hughes) Steiner who survives.
Also surviving are three children, eight grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
His parents, son Ronnie Chapman, two brothers, Preston Steiner and Norman Steiner, preceded Eugene in death.
Eugene was a retired construction labor for Labor Union # 83, Portsmouth for 46 years.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2014, at the HOWE WHEELER BOYER FUNERAL HOME in Piketon with Rev. Brian Bear, officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery, Piketon, Ohio
Friends may call at the Howe Wheeler Boyer Funeral Home from 3 - 7 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the service hour on Monday.
