Walter moved to Wilsall MT, and then to Bonners Ferry ID and Finally to Yoncalla Oregon where he purchased land in the Shoestring area. Walter used Percheron horses to log and later heavy equipment. Walter and Lula had 9 children, two of which were fraternal twins. 8 of Walters children were sons and all 8 served in the united states military.
