Esther K. Mordaunt, 93, former resident of Simeon-DeWitt Apartments, died Wednesday at St. Luke's Health Care Facility.
She was a life resident of Oswego. She was a graduate of Oswego High School and was formerly employed with Inman's Grocery Store and Best Ice Cream, both in Oswego. She was employed previously with the Hawley Coal Co. for 20 years.
Mrs. Mordaunt was a member of the Church of the Resurrection and Lake City Chapter 352, Order of the Eastern Star, in which she was an officer more than 40 years.
Her husband, Joseph, died in 1976. A daughter, Dorothy Fichera, died in 1995.
Surviving are a son, James of Fair Haven and Zolfo Springs, Fla.; a brother, Henry Bell of North Syracuse; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services are 9 a.m. today at Dowdle Funeral Home, 154 E. Fourth St., Oswego. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Oswego.
