He attended Hillcrest and Pierce Park elementary schools, Hillside Junior High, and graduated from Capital High School in 1982.
He was most recently employed by KD Roofing. As an outdoor enthusiast, he loved white water kayaking, camping, snowboarding, and firepits.
"Gordo" loved his family, his many friends, and all creatures great and small. He will be missed by his faithful companions "Mocha" and "Jazz."
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Billy Brake and maternal grandparents John and Irma Florenzen.
He is survived by his parents Ed and Faye Brake of Parma, Idaho, little sister Diana Brake of Anchorage, Alaska, grandmother Thelma Brake of Newark, Calif.
and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He also considered his many friends as family.
