ALBANY--Mrs. Laura McCowan,62, of Fairview, east of Albany, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at her home Thursday.
A native of Tennessee, she had lived in the Albany area for the past five years.
Survivors include her husband, Andrew McCowan; three daughters, Mrs. Lula Parlim, LaCrosse, Mrs. Betty Henry and Mrs. Mable Grasty, both of Cookville, Tenn.; seven sons, Ernest and Glenn of Dunkirk, Vernal and Ernal of Pontiac, Mich., Donald, Redkey, Kenneth, Cookville, Tenn., and Richard, at home; a brother, William Strange, Lima, Ohio; 26 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Rev. Delmar McCowan will officiate at services at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Free Will Baptist Church near Dunkirk. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call at Rust Funeral Home, Albany, after 2 p.m. Friday, until noon Saturday and at the church one hour prior to services.
