Funeral services celebrating the life of Ruby Lee Brown Dobson will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 11, 2014 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria with Reverend Dennis Snoddy officiating. Burial will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens, Woodworth.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria Friday, October 10, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and continued Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Mrs. Dobson, 86, of Alexandria, passed from this life on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Riverside Hospital of Louisiana.
Mrs. Dobson was a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church, Alexandria.
She was preceded in death by her husband, M/SGT Jimmy Dobson, USAF Retired; parents, Noah and Christine Brewington Brown; daughter, Denise Dobson Veillon; sister, Lida Harrison and brothers, Noah Brown and Phillip Brown.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Debbie Dobson Paulsen and husband, Ken and Dana Dobson Meyer; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Christine, Caitlin, Nolan, Jason, Christopher and Jessica; six great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
