Mrs. Anstine Passes Away Tuesday Nite

Succumbs After Lingering Illness--Lived in Madison Fifteen Years.

Funeral services for Mrs. S. R. Anstine, who died Tuesday night after a lingering illness, will be held Friday afternoon. Services at the home will be held at 2 p.m. and at the Methodist church, 2:15 p.m. The Rebecca lodge, of which see was a member for many years, will be in charge. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. John R. Bucknell. Interment will be in Crown Hill cemetery.

Ida (Stevens) Anstine was born Sept 3, 1861 at Schuyler, Nebr., and died May 22, 1935 at Madison at the age of 74 years, 8 months and 19 days.

Mrs. Anstine spent the last fifteen years of her life in Madison and enjoyed the best of health until July 1934, when her condition became such that it was necessary for her to submit to an operation, after which she gradually failed until her death.

She had been a widow for fifteen years. Her husband, Samuel R. Anstine, preceding her in death on Oct 14, 1919. Two children also died some years ago and are interned at Schuyler.

Although adversities had crossed her path the last few years, she was always cheerful and her faith and Christian spirit seemed to be her greatest comfort in the end.

Mrs. Anstine had been a member of the Methodist church for many years and at the time of her death was a member of that church in Madison.

This little verse found among her few possessions expresses Mrs. Anstine's scheme of life.
"Lord, grant me this that I may do
All that is in my power
To live and give as if I knew
This was my final hour."

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Fred Ray of Compton, Calif., and one brother, Charles Stevens of Columbus, Nebr., also several nieces and nephews.
