YAKIMA - Marian Lee (Balmer) Crabtree, 82 of Yakima, passed away Sunday Feb. 20, 2005 at Landmark Care Center.
Marian was born August 17, 1922 in Cleveland, OK to Charles LeRoy and Ruby Rae (Ritchie) Balmer. In 1935 she left Oklahoma with her family and settled in Zillah, WA in 1937 where her family farmed. In 1943 she married Thomas Richard Crabtree in San Diego, CA.
She moved back to the Yakima Valley where she raised her four children in Zillah, Yakima and Union Gap. She retired from JC Penney Company in 1978.
Marian devoted herself entirely to her role as a single mother. She gave an abundance of love, humor and wisdom to her family from which they drew their strength, life lessons and values.
