Lenz, Norman J.Norman Joseph Lenz, Little Chute, age 88, passed away on Saturday October 4, 2014 at Parkside Care Center with his family at his side. He was born in Little Chute to Joseph and Harriet (Vander Steen) Lenz on February 5, 1926. Norm joined the Navy and served in the Pacific in WWII. He was employed at Thilmany for 45 years. Norm was an avid fisherman and hunter and excelled in bowling. After he retired he enjoyed walking, biking and visiting the Environmental Center. But his real passion was his grandchildren. He was filled with pride when attending their many sporting events and school functions. Norm married Helen Zacharias on August 10, 1963 and their marriage was blessed with four wonderful daughters and ten fantastic grandchildren. He is survived by his wife and daughters: Jane (Greg) Eiting, Janet (Rob) Sager, Joan (Mike) Sturm and Judy (Ray) Buchinger. The grandchildren who were so loved by Grandpa are Tim, Matt and Adam Eiting, Sam and Jennifer Sager, Emily and Kimberly Sturm and Nicole, Hope and Quinn Buchinger. Also surviving are Norm's sister, Clara Baumann; sisters-in-law: Gladys Lenz, Carla Zacharias and Ann Ehnerd; and brothers-in-law: Dick (Joyce) Zacharias and Tom (Mary) Stilp. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Jim (Mary, Helen), Don and Joe (Mary); father and mother-in-law: Vince and Helen Zacharias; brothers-in-law: Henry Baumann, Jim Zacharias and Ed Ehnerd; and sister-in-law: Phyllis Stilp.Visitation will be held Thursday October 9, 2014 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) beginning at 4:00 p.m. until time of Parish Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday October 10, 2014 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL - ST. MARY CHURCH (119 W. 7th St. Kaukauna) from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Jerry Pastors and Fr. Willard Van De Loo will concelebrate.
