Brenda Lee Adkins, age 45, formerly of Whiting, IN, died on Tuesday evening, July 15, 2003 at her home in Niles, Michigan, surrounded by her family.

Brenda was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on March 22, 1958. She is survived by her parents, Randell Roger Braden and Barbara Hopping. On March 7, 1986 she married Michael L. Adkins in Reno, NV, he survives.

Brenda worked several places, most recently at Rieter Automotive in St. Joseph, MI as supervisor of production. Her hobbies included gardening, crafts and crocheting, including a very special afghan she completed for her husband just one week ago. Dolls and Waterford Crystal were some of the many items she enjoyed collecting, however spending time with her family was her greatest treasure.

In addition to her husband and parents she is also survived by two sons, Joshua and Phillip Sotak, both of Niles, MI; two daughters, Tonia (John) Petro of Whiting, IN and Tara Walczak of Niles, MI; four grandchildren; Vance, Thomas, Carson and Clayton; two brothers, Arthur (Dean) Braden of California and Gary (Pam) Cox of Hammond, IN; one sister, Susie (Kevin) Sugden of California. Preceded in death by grandchild, Ashley Braden.

Services were held on Friday and Brenda was layed to rest at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in Niles, MI. Arrangements by Mission Hills Memorial Chapel.
