Vivian Koenecke was born Dec. 19, 1917 at Dunnell, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (Chworowsky) Koenecke. She attended the Dunnell School and the Jackson Normal School. On Aug. 16, 1944 she was united in marriage with Kenneth Larson. The couple lived in the Huntington area. She taught school in the Dunnell area until 1954, and had worked at the Fareway Store and Golden Sun Milling Co. in Estherville before moving to Avoca in 1965 where she was employed at Ruback’s Grocery Store and Jensen’s Market. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband Kenneth, Avoca; one son Kevin Larson, Panama City, Fla.; four brothers: John Koenecke, Estherville, Frank, Apple Valley, Minn., Richard, Dallas, ex, and Dean, Alexandria, Minn.; seven sisters: Mrs. Maxine Bargfrede and Miss Ellen Koenecke, Jackson, Minn., Mrs. Ernest (Ruth) Sands, New Ulm, Minn., Mrs. Orv (Norma) Enderson, Ankeny, Mrs. Jim (Kay) Mootz, Alexandra, Minn. And Mrs. Duane (Jean) Anderson, Terril.
