GEORGE W. WALTERS
George W. Walters, 77, died suddenly at his home on James avenue, Littlestown, yesterday morning at 10 o'clock. Mr. Walters was stricken while working in the garden at his home. Dr. G.C. Crist, Gettysburg, coroner of Adams County, said death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage.
Mr. Walters was s son of the late William and Agnes Storm Walters. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic church, Littlestown, and the Holy Name Society.
Surviving are his wife Ada Haugh Walters; seven children, Mrs. Paul Toomey and Edward Walters, Hanover R.D. 4; Mrs. John Rebert, Third Street, Hanover; Charles Walters, Earl Walters and Mrs. William Dehoff, Hanover R.D. 2, and Allen Walters, U.S. Navy, Washington, D.C.; fifteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one brother Frank Walters, Baltimore.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 8:30 a.m. at the J.W. Little and Son funeral home, Littlestown, followed by a requiem high mass at 9 o'clock in St. Aloysius church. The Rev. Francis McKinney, supply pastor, will be celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday evening at the Little funeral home. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home Wednesday at 8 p.m.
