ST. JOE - Paul "Alec" Cornett, 66, died Saturday in his St. Joe home. Mr. Cornett retired in May 1998 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He was a service veteran, and an avid fisherman, tour guide and gourmet cook. He was born May 15, 1933, in Corbin, Ky.
He is survived by three daughters; three sons; two stepdaughters, one sister, Mary Romines (58958687) of New Haven; two brothers, Curtis Cornett of Fort Wayne and John Cornett of Canal Point, Fla; nine grandchildren and six stepgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Martha Jones, Daisy Jones and Rose Andens; and two brothers, Charles and Willis Cornett.
His funeral service was conducted Sept. 9 in McComb, Dilgard & Cline Funeral Home, Auburn. Burial took place in Riverside Cemetery, St. Joe.
