Edward Staab, 69, Maryville, Mo., died Dec. 30, 1994, at a hospital in Maryville. Mr. Staab was born in Catharine, Kan., and lived in Hays, Kan., and Tulsa, Okla., before moving to Maryville 30 years ago.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Maryville; burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Maryville. The rosary will be said by the Legion of Mary at 4 p.m. and by the parish at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Price Chapel, Maryville. The family suggests contributions to the church's building fund.

He worked for the Amoco Oil Co. for 40 years, retiring as a master technician in 1987. He was a member of the Maryville Elks Lodge. He was a Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Marcella Staab of the home; two sons, Frank Staab, Newburgh, Ind., and Steve Staab, Lee's Summit; a daughter, Deborah Lynn Law, Skidmore, Mo.; two brothers, Alfred Staab, Catharine, and Charles Staab, Hays; seven sisters, Freida Dinges, Mesa, Ariz., Flora Doerfler, Hays, Otilla Leiker and Mary Lou Staab of Catharine, Josepha Dreiling, Littleton, Colo., Rose Doerfler, Morris, Ill., and Geraldine Dreiling, Denver; and seven grandchildren.
