Norma G. Campbell, a long time resident of Atlantic, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2003 at the Griswold Care Center. Norma was born March 20, 1927 in Atlantic to Jacob and Milda (Haas) Pieken.
She grew up in Atlantic and graduated from the Atlantic High School in 1946.
Norma married Robert Campbell on February 20, 1950 in Atlantic and from that union six children were born. She worked as a cashier in Safeway and she worked in the meat department at Econo Foods. She retired in 1991. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved being with all her family.
Norma is survived by two sons, Dennis Campbell and wife Sharon of Atlantic; Darryl Campbell and wife Patricia of Atlantic; four daughters, Delyte Borkowski and husband Dale of Audubon; Diane Olson and husband Sidney of Griswold; Dawn Meyer and husband Raymond of Atlantic; Darla Rudolph of Atlantic; thirteen grandchildren, Eric and Adam Borkowski of Audubon; Scot Olson and wife Bertrana of Atlantic, Peter Olson of Park City, Utah; Craig Olson of Griswold; Meagan Campbell of Atlantic; Wendy Rasmussen of Atlantic; Travis and Chris Meyer of Atlantic; Tara Swagel and husband Dustin of Atlantic; Brett Imhoff of Atlantic; Shane Rudolph of Atlantic; Jeremiah Campbell of Atlantic; nine great-grandchildren; Jacob and Miranda Olson of Atlantic; Tristan and Samuel Olson of Griswold; Morgan and Mason Rasmussen of Atlantic; Gustin and Madilynn Swagel of Atlantic; and Tyler Kirchner of Atlantic; one brother Ronald Pieken of Council Bluffs; three sisters Ruth Brown and husband Howard of Arkansas; Janice Blake and husband Bart of Atlantic; Margaret Lowary and husband Jim of Atlantic; a sister-in-law Bernice Pieken of Omaha.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Kenneth and Floyd Pieken; one sister Dorothy Walter; and a granddaughter Sara Borkowski.
