A graveside service was held Tuesday at Ceres Memorial Park for Everett Beasley, 96, of Ceres. He died peacefully at Elness Convalesent Hospital in Turlock on September 7, at the age of 96.

Eaton Family Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Born on July 11, 1918 in Rogersville, Mo., Everett was the only child of Ernest and Eva Beasley. He worked many jobs during his long life but will be remembered most for working alongside his late wife in their lawn care business in the Ceres, Turlock and Modesto area for 40 years.

Everett was always ready with a joke and a laugh and welcomed all into his home with open arms.

He leaves behind three children, Sharon Bennett, Nancy Keele and Philip Beasley; five grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Ann Beasley and son Gene Lenard.
