Lucy S. Wellman (Mrs. A. S. Norton) died at the family residence at 2 o'clock A.M. New Year's Day, after a protracted and towards the last seemingly painful illness. Mrs. Norton was born in Wallingford, England, on the 31st of August, 1826. She came to America in 1831, and was married to Mr. Norton in November 1851. Mrs. Norton has for a long time been an earnest and active worker in the Church of the Evangelists.
