Mrs. Adkins, 76, of Linden, died Sunday, September 21, 2014, at her residence. A funeral service was held Wednesday, September 24, 2014, 1:00 p.m., in the Young Funeral Home chapel, with Jeff Adkins officiating. Burial was at Dr. O.A. Kirk Memorial Cemetery, Linden. She was born in Scotts Hill, the daughter of the late Raymond Warren and Hattie Bell Plunkett Warren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Ricketts, Linda Lee, and Lera Mae Wright, and two brothers, Robert Warren and James Alfred Warren. Survivors include her husband of sixty-one years, James Don Adkins of Linden; a daughter, Sheila (Gary) Culp of Clifton; two sons, Terry (Willie) Adkins and Jeff (Kimby) Adkins, both of Linden; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a sister, Glenda (Bill) Richardson of Waynesboro; and many friends.
