Gendora (Jendora) Maud Dupree was born June 9, 1873 in the Hatfield area of Polk County, Arkansas to C. C. Dupree and wife Louisa Jane Green. Both BR. Antioch Cem. Polk Co., Ark.
The Duprees had just come from Georgia, Gendora was the first of their children born in Arkansas.

This is my beautiful grandmother and from all reports she received excellent care and treatment at the hospital and "she chose" to live out her life there.(N.Kirk)
