Hazel Carter Smith of Albany died Wednesday January 31, 2007 at her residence.Funeral service will be held Saturday 11:00 AM at Kimbrell-Stern with interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery. Dr. Andrew Goode officiating.A native of Albany, GA, Mrs. Smith was a member of First Baptist Church of Albany and was an avid bridge player.Survivors include her son Harry E. Davis and his wife Carolyn of Dalton, GA, grandson Phillip Hancock and his wife Jennifer of Alpharetta, GA, 2 great grandchildren, sister Eleanor Gordon and a sister-in-law Dorothy Carter both of Jacksonville, FL, long time special friend Mamie Smith of Albany and several nieces and nephews.Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband James Warren (Taxi) Smith, daughter, Eleanor Davis Sheppard, 2 grandsons, J.
