Bernard C. Burgess 48 died unexpectedly Tuesday at his home here in Leeds.

He was born April 26,1923 the son of Guy and Myrtle Stevens Burgess.He was educated in the Leeds schools and was a WWII Army Veteran,having served in The European Theater.

In 1946 he married Anita Bergeron at Winthrop.He had been employed at Winthrop Woolen Mills,and for the past 22 years at Bancroft and Martin of Leeds.

Mr Burgess was a member of the Tri Corner Athletics Club of Leeds and St Francis Xavier Church of Winthrop.

One son: Gordon
