FARMER PASSES AT FAMILY HOME

William A. Swart, Southeast of City, Succumbs After Lingering Illness.

William A. Swart, 75, residing four miles south and one and one-quarter miles east of the city, died at 1:45 o'clock yesterday afternoon, of infirmities of age and complications, after an illness of about two years.

The son of N. and Agnes Swart he was born on the farm where he died July 13, 1860. He was united in marriage to Miss Nora McWilliams October 18, 1885.

Mr. Swart was one of the most prominent farmers of the community southeast of the city and enjoyed a wide circle of friends. He was a member of the Red Men and Knights of Pythias lodges.

Leaves Six Children.

Surviving besides the widow are five daughters, Mrs. Lee Balser, of Summitville; Mrs. Virgil Barber, east of the city; Mrs. Felix Burchette, of Frankton; Mrs. harry Updegraff, east of the city, and Miss Gladys Swart, at home; one son, Chester Swart, of Compton, Calif., and one brother, Charles Swart, of Frankton. There are sixteen grandchildren.

The body was removed to the Copher and Fesler Funeral Home and prepared for burial.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Frankton Christian Church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the pastor, Rev. Otto Stroup, in charge. Burial will be in the Elwood cemetery.
