Julie Rae Jennings-Burdette, 56, passed away Friday, Oct. 3, 2014. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel Temple. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Davis Funeral Chapel. Julie was born Aug. 12, 1958, in Levelland. She was a loving wife whose passions in life were her family and cooking. She worked hard, she played hard and she loved hard. She worked for her father in the music business and she was also a DJ at WHOG in Fernandina Beach, Fla. She also farmed and sold produce in her later years. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Hines; father, Waylon Jennings; and son, Taylor Jennings. Survivors: Husband, Larry Burdette of Fort Worth; brothers, Terry Jennings of Waco, Buddy Jennings of Tennessee and Shooter Jennings of California; sisters, Deana Jennings of Weatherford, Jen Jennings and Tomilynn Jennings; stepdaughter, Annie Burdette of Fort Worth; granddaughter, Serenity Miller of Fort Worth; uncles and aunts, BO and Donna Jennings of Whiteface and James D. and Helen Jennings of Littlefield; nephews, Josh Jennings of Waco, Whey Jennings, Johnny Jennings and Ricky Busby, all of Grand Prairie; and niece, Josie Jennings of Irving.
