LEWISBURG — Joyce K. Troutman, 87, of Lewisburg, formerly of Dornsife, passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at RiverWoods Nursing Home, Lewisburg.
Born in Milton on July 31, 1927, she was a daughter of the late David and Margaret (Baker) Kuhns. Joyce was married on May 28, 1949, in Shenandoah, Va., to Arthur “Bud” Troutman, who preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 1987.
Early in life she lived in Milton and was a graduate of Milton High School.
Joyce and her husband owned and operated a country grocery store/gas station in Dornsife for many years. She also worked as a bank teller at The Herndon National Bank.
Joyce was a member of Himmel’s Church, Rebuck.
She enjoyed watching her granddaughters playing softball and spending time at the family campsite along the Susquehanna River.
Surviving are two granddaughters, Nicole Troutman, of Milton and Lisa Mannion, of Mechanicsburg; and two sons-in-law, Thomas Mannion, of Mechanicsburg and Wayne Heddings, of Milton.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Virginia “Ginny” Troutman-Heddings and LuAnn T. Mannion.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the Himmel’s Church, 107 Cover Bridge Road, Dornsife, with the Rev. Jane Compton officiating.
