Ethel Beatrice Gorrell, 83, of Jaycee Estates, Parkersburg; died Saturday
in Selby General Hospital, Marietta, OH.
She was born at Schultz, a daughter of the late William and Sarah Dearth
Moore. She had spent most of her life in Marietta. She was a member of
the Putnam Congregational Church.
She is survived by one son, Bernard Hauss Jr. of Hartville, OH; two
daughters, Ruth Miller of Perrysville, OH, and Mary Simms of Roosevelt, UT;
several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Moore
of St. Marys; four sisters, Carrie Moore and Della Hackathorn, both of St.
Marys, Ruth Reese of McKeesport, PA, and Kathleen King of East Liverpool,
OH.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell Bernard Haas; her
second husband, Denver Gorrell; one son, Robert Haas; three infant
children; two brothers and one sister.
Services were held Wednesday at the McClure-Schafer Funeral Home in
Marietta, OH.
