Mary Naomi Turner Barger, 83, died Thursday, March 16, 2006, in a Wichita Hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. at Goree First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Goree Cemetery under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home in Munday, Texas. Visitation will be at McCauley-Smith Funeral Home Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m.
Mary was born in Dallas, Texas, to the late Scott and Mary Turner. She was a postmaster in Goree, Texas. On May 25, 1940, Mary married Everett Lawrence Barger.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 10, 1987; and a daughter-in-law, Judy Cooper Barger.
Survivors include her son, Jack Barger and wife, Pamela, of Wichita Falls, Texas; sisters, Elizabeth Hobbs, of Seymour, Texas and Sharon Taylor, of Saginaw, Texas; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
