Mrs. Bessie Gilbert

A memorial service for Mrs. Harold S. (Bessie) Gilbert will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the First Congregational Church. Mrs. Gilbert, 1802 SE elm St., died Wednesday. Burial will be in the family plot at Riverview Cemetery.

Mrs. Gilbert was born at Prineville, Feb. 23, 1885, daughter of James C. and Eunice Luckey. She married Harold S. Gilbert Sept. 16 1908. The late Mr. Gilbert owned the Gilbert Music Co., Portland, for many years.

Mrs. Gilbert was an active member of the First Congregational Church. She belonged also to the PEO, Mayflower Society and Portland Americanization Council.

Two sons, Frank and Paul are deceased. Survivors include five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
