BONDY JULIADEAN RIRIE SMITH BONDY passed away peacefully In the Raymond Hospital on Saturday, April 17,1999 at the age of 85 years. She was born on February 26, 1914 in the red brick farmhouse at Magrath, AB.
Juliadean was the daughter of James B. Ririe and Julia Emily Hawkes. She was the youngest of 18 children, and the last to pass away.
She loved her brothers and sisters, and their families. She was very proud of their accomplishments, and proud of her noble heritage. She has lived in Magrath most of her life, but spent time in Utah, California and Arizona, with her first husband, Leonard Smith and, their 4 children
.After her divorce, she moved back to Magrath, where she married Leonard Bondy, and they had 2 children.
Juliadean was an avid learner, and received her teaching degree in Calgary, in 1955. She taught school in 'Magrath, and at the Hutterite colonies. She loved those she taught, and made a great impression in the lives of her students. She was active in the LDS church, and held many teaching positions. In her later years, she was involved in the French Extraction program, and loved the work she was doing, until she was unable to do it anymore.
Juliadean had a great work ethic, ant taught her children well, the value of work, and if it was worth doing, it was worth doing well. She has left to mourn her passing, 6 children, her good friend, Leonard Bondy, 46 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild, with 2 more expected this year.
