3) Austin A. Chauncey m1. Martha Hugaboom; m2. Dolly Wright
4) Edwin A. Chauncey m. Christina (last name unk)
5) William Burt Chauncey m. Mary "Ella" Clyde
Her gravestone (like her husband's) is simply a marker that says "Mother". According to her obituary, her body was transferred from Missouri where she had been living with her son Fred since the death of her husband, Israel.
Her obituary in the local newspaper, "The Union News":
"Union (NY). Feb. 10.—The body of Mrs.
Charlotte Chauncey who died last
Friday in Wentzville, Mo., was
brought here on Tuesday afternoon
and taken to Oak Hill yesterday,
where the funeral was held at 1
o'clock at the Methodist Church.
Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Chauncey formerly resided in
this locality. She is survived by two
sons. Fred of Wentzville, Mo., and W.
Burt Chauncey of Endicott. Mrs.
Frank Wells of Union is a granddaughter".
Note 1: MO Death Certificate states death occurred in Fulton, Callaway, Missouri. I do not know why she was there instead of Wentzville, unless there was a hospital for her to go to when she took ill.
Note 2: The town of Union in Broome County, NY was sectioned off in 1848 and the northern part of the township became the township of Maine, and East Maine is where Charlotte and her husband Israel Chauncey lived and is where the Oak Hill Cemetery is located.
Descendants of Austin Chauncey and Charlotte Leadbetter can trace their roots back to seven Mayflower Passengers, five Revolutionary War Soldiers and several famous ministers including Rev. Charles Chauncey (2nd President of Harvard) and Rev. Israel Chauncey (son of Rev. Charles Chauncey) who was one of ten pastors who co-founded Yale.
