Henry Fromm, 86, a native of Russia, died at his residence in Clarkston Monday. He was a retired rural mail carrier.

Mr. Fromm was born in Odessa, Russia, on Jan. 13, 1881, coming to the United States in 1886 with his parents. They first settled in North Dakota and then at Warden, Wash.

He moved to Lancaster, near Colfax, retiring there as a mail carrier in 1945. He came to Clarkston in 1956.

He married Christina (Dormain) in Odessa, Russia on Dec. 25, 1903. They were later divorced.

He married Mrs. Crosby Ames. She died in 1959. He has been living here with his daughter, Mrs. Clara Weeks.

Besides Mrs. Weeks, he is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Ella Cook of Elk River; Mrs. Adeline Porter of Spokane; Mrs. The4lma Morasch of Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Julia Smich of Walla Walla; and Mrs. Elsie Gray of Spokane; two sons, Ray of Chewelah; and Ben in Florida, 18 grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren.
