Dale was born on July 11, 1931 in Hennessey, Oklahoma to Carl Lloyd and Melissa (Tugle) Dixon.

After high school he graduated from the University of Tulsa. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps as an aviator. Even after he retiring from the military Dale loved planes, and frequently went on trips in his own 1945 Luscombie airplane. He had a passion for the Word of God and spent many hours reading scripture and writing. Dale also enjoyed fishing with his father in law. Above all Dale loved his family, especially his wife Susan. Who he married on May 9, 1954 at the White City Baptist church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They were active together in Conerstone Church in Grove, Oklahoma.

Dale worked as an electrical engineer for American Airlines and McDonnell-Douglas after retiring from the Marine Corps as a Lt. Colonel.

Dale was preceded in death by his wife Susan.

Dale is survived by three daughters, Ginger Ullom of Glennpool, Mary Hawley and Lisa Grandon both of Broken Arrow, grandchildren, Nicole Ottesen, Brandon Noahr, Courtney Hawley, Sarah Grandon, and Sabrena Grandon, and great grandchildren Katelyn McGhee, Kelsey McGhee, Kayden Shultz, Kayden Noahr and Kendley Mae Noahr.

Funeral services for Dale will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Cornerstone Church in Grove, Oklahoma. Pastor mark Gamber will officiate. Interment will be at 3:00 pm at Floral Haven Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma.
