Born in Tewksbury, she lived in Swansea since last year and most of her life in Fall River.
For more than 20 years, she was a teacher in the Fall River Public School system with 10 years as a second grade teacher at the William S. Greene School, before retiring in 1972.
After retirement, she served as a volunteer in pre-primary classes at the Green School.
Mrs. Davis was a 1926 graduate of BMC Durfee High school and a graduate of North Adams State College.
She was a member of the former North Christian Church which is now United Parish and served as an organist there for more than 60 years. She was director of the Sunday school for 50 years, a member of the Thurston Club of the church for many years, and a parish representative to the Greater Fall River Council of Churches.
She was a member of the Fall River Garden Club, the Forever Young Club of Assonet, the National Retired Teachers Association and a volunteer at the Greater Fall River Community Soup Kitchen at the Church of the Ascension.
A memorial service will be held Sunday March 13th at a time to be announced in the United Parish North Main Street Fall River.
Arrangements are with the Hathaway Home For Funerals, 1813 Robeson Street Fall River. Interment in the Assonet Burying Ground is at the convenience of the family.
