In Memory of...

Mrs. Hazel Hallman Lewis, age 85, died Wednesday October 1, 2014, at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. The native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County attended Stilson School. The majority of her life was spent caring for her husband and five children, as a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker.

Mrs. Lewis was a member of the Middleground Primitive Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Edwin Lewis of Statesboro; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Eddie and Jana Lewis of Brooklet, Danny and Connie Lewis of Statesboro and Don Lewis of Mauldin, SC; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Jimmy Greenwood of Statesboro and Julie and Timmy Rushing of Register. 12 grandchildren, Melissa, Brian, Tony, Russ, Brianne, Sterling, Eric, Sara, Emily, Nicole, Adam, Kathlyn; nine step grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; nine step great grandchildren; one great great - grandchild and two step great great - grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00am in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro with Elder Steve Taylor officiating, assisted by Elder Howard Rushing.
Interment will be in the Lanes Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Buck Grantham officiating.

Pallbearers will be Tony Cassedy, Russ Cassedy, Adam Rushing, Eric Lewis, Sterling Lewis, Brian Lewis, Jaylen Cassedy and Justin Cassedy.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O. Box 531 Statesboro, Ga. 30459 or Middleground Primitive Baptist Church, 7198 Harville Road, Statesboro, Ga. 30458.
